American Idol fever is still sweeping the nation.

For those of you who think you might be the next big singing sensation and are already planning a cruise this fall, you should look into one of the 5 Royal Caribbean cruises that will be sailing with an American Idol theme with the passengers playing the part of the singers.

The cruises will take place between November 19 and December 21, 2008 on Royal Caribbean’s Independence of the Seas.

The cruises will vary between 4 and 8 days. They will leave from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and either go through the Western Caribbean or the Eastern depending on the individual cruise.

I imagine an event like this with the passengers competing in the contest throughout the week would generate a lot of excitement as the days progressed. There would never be a shortage of things to talk about during dinners or at the pool.

I do not think I would be willing to get on stage, but you never know after a couple margarita.
